If you begin to understand what you are without trying to change it, then what you are undergoes a transformation. J. Krishnamurti. An interesting quote to begin a discussion of judgment and its impact on our day-to-day interactions. Dialogue, by Ellinor and Gerard, dedicates an entire chapter to the suspension of judgments. I agree with them, ìSuspension of judgment is about developing the ability to observe judgments, your own and those of others, from a neutral position, remaining detached and unreactive. I practice this daily, it is empowering to be proactive, it does, however, take practice. This book was good reading for executives and managers who want to communicate with a 21st century approach.
